Why become a junaio developer?

The junaio developer API puts the tools in your hands. You can bend and stretch to create complex, multiplayer game ideas or use it to create simple Augmented Reality mashups. While users of junaio are able to experience your game ideas and mashups, you stay in full control of your content and concepts, being able to react to user's interactions and adjust accordingly.

Since the start of the junaio Developer Chellenge we have seen more than 850 developers participating. Thank you very much to all of you who have joined our developer community early on and took part in the challenge by submitting channels.
Our judges Ken Blakeslee (Chairman, WebMobility Ventures), Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Christian Geiger (Mixed Reality and Visualization at Düsseldorf University), Christine Perey (Perey Research and Consulting), Thomas Carpenter (Writer at Games Alfresco) and Chris Cameron (Writer at ReadWriteWeb) have taken the time to decide on the winner:

archINFORM - Architecture.

This channel is a great idea and it combines useful information with a fun way of displaying it. Further, it goes beyond displaying points of interest around you, but attaches useful information to architecture and shows the advantages of Augmented Reality compared to a list or map view.
It is fun to play with and works well in all tested areas worldwide (New York, S.F, Tokyo, Rome, Paris and Cologne). Only drawback: The additional linked information is in German.

    06-15-10Developer Challenge Extended

  • Hello Developers, because of junaio Glue and the great possibility to not only create location based AR experiences, but "glue" 2D and 3D information to any object like flyers, books, posters and many more, we have decided to extend the junaio Developer Challenge until July 23rd. This will give you some time to get to know junaio Glue, develop ideas with the natural feature tracking and visual search capabilities and create an exciting channel.
