Great New Channels
Augmented Reality tourist guides have been around since the inception of AR browsers, but the junaio channel Basel from certified Developer mCrumbs brings the topic to a new level. From now on, visitors to the beautiful Swiss city of Basel can experience AR navigation including city tours, audio guides, multilingual translations and thousands of POIs with information about popular spots in Basel. The local Basel government is constantly updating the information, so be assured you'll get all the latest news and events.
Certified Developer ARworks from Hungary has created a virtual, Augmented Reality fashion show for Vodafone. The telecom company sponsored a contest (Buttoned UP -- Gombold Újra) for fashion designers and the 11 winners of the contest are presented in a junaio channel. Here you can find the video and detailed info about the project, including the QR code to start the channel even if you are not in Hungary.

Did you know…
…ten German print magazines trust in junaio!?
The combination with print is one of the most exciting application fields for Augmented Reality. We are happy to announce that major publishers (Bauer Verlag, Axel Springer, TV Spielfilm Verlag) from Germany have chosen to use the junaio Plugin to create apps for ten of their magazines, deploying exciting AR content with every issue of their magazines AUTOBILD, AUTOZEITUNG, BRAVO, BRAVO Sport, BRAVO Girl, TV Movie, TV Spielfilm, TV Today, Welt der Wunder and WOHNIDEE. Thanks to the junaio Plugin all of the channels and their contents are available in junaio. When you pass by the next kiosk or newsstand, pick up one of the magazines and give it a try!
New Update of junaio Available
junaio 3.6 is available. Along with retina support for the new iPad, it contains major improvements to image detection and tracking as well as performance optimizations to loading times and search, and we have implemented the infrastructure for 3D object tracking for the first time. Finally developers can get started creating use cases with real objects like cans, printers or anything else.
